Police in Cleveland got more than they bargained for when conducting a wellness check at a home recently. During their check, they discovered a dead body in the home. Now, two suspects have been arrested and await an arraignment.

Details regarding the incident

According to reports, Cleveland police received calls from people who reported seeing blood seeping from underneath a garage door at a residence in the 13000 block of Lakewood Heights Boulevard.  The officers had to enter the residence through an unlocked door. Inside, they found a body lying on the garage floor.

The victim was described as a 57-year-old man. He had a gun wound in his chest, and authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. No word was given on the identity of the two suspects or why police arrested them. Nevertheless, the two await formal charges regarding the incident.

Right to criminal defense

As police conduct their investigation into the apparent homicide, those arrested will likely face very serious charges during their arraignments. Because of the nature of the crime, each will likely retain the services of an experienced criminal defense attorney to help them through the process. A lawyer can analyze all evidence collected during the investigation and challenge the evidence in a court of law in an attempt at helping his or her client obtain the best outcome possible, considering the circumstances.
