Rollover crash in Ohio sends 2 to hospital

Motorists in Ohio can become involved in a vehicle accident despite their best attempts at driving safely on the road. No one can control the actions of other drivers, and when those drivers act negligently or recklessly behind the wheel, it puts all others at risk. One recent vehicle accident in the Buckeye State sent two innocent accident victims to the hospital.

Details regarding the crash

Around 8:20 p.m. on May 29, a Land Rover was heading west along US-422 when it encountered another vehicle approaching from the opposite direction. That vehicle, unidentified, was apparently being driven erratically, and the driver of the Land Rover swerved to avoid colliding with it. Unfortunately, the driver of the Land Rover, a 32-year-old woman from Columbus, lost control of the vehicle and entered the center median. The vehicle rolled over at least once before coming to rest facing east.

The driver of the Land Rover as well as a 67-year-old female passenger were transported to a local medical center for treatment. The driver suffered serious injuries, while the passenger was listed in critical condition at the time of the report. Authorities are still searching for the white vehicle that allegedly caused the accident, but it doesn’t appear that the two vehicles actually collided with each other.

Options for compensation

Police are requesting information regarding the white vehicle from the public. If they are successful in locating the car and its driver, the driver may face criminal charges as well as civil suits brought by the injured victims. Regardless, the injured parties may have options for obtaining compensation even if the driver is not located and apprehended. Considering the complexities involved, affected parties will want to work closely with an experienced personal injury attorney in Ohio for help in pursuing recovery of the compensation they deserve.
