Alan M. Kappers, a 1970 graduate of Hamilton Badin High School, will be inducted into the Badin-Hamilton Catholic-Notre Dame Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday May 12, 2012.

According to the Badin High School Shades of Green magazine, “Alan parlayed his skills as a terrific basketball player at Badin into a fine career at Ohio Northern University where he was the captain and team MVP in 1974 as he led the Polar Bears into the NCAA tournament.”

A successful attorney with the law firm of Dungan & LeFevre in Troy, Kappers earned the 2008 Lloyd O’Hara Public Interest Law Award for his work with a nine county rural legal aid society.  He is currently President of Title Safe Agency, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Dungan & LeFevre, and is Chairman of the City of Troy Planning Commission and a 30-year member of the city’s Board of Park Commissioners.
