Michael J. Jurek
Mr. Jurek concentrates his practice primarily in domestic relations matters – including divorce, dissolution, custody, and parental rights – as well as commercial litigation. He is licensed and admitted to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Prior to joining Dungan & LeFevre in 2013, Mr. Jurek served a two-year term as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael J. Newman in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in Dayton. His legal experience also includes working as a staff attorney at Legal Aid Society in Louisville, Kentucky, where he gained hundreds of hours of courtroom experience representing clients at the trial level in domestic relations matters, and in appeals before the state’s Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. He additionally worked as an associate attorney in Thompson Hine LLP’s business litigation department from 2007 through 2009.
Mr. Jurek graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Denison University in 2004. Thereafter, he attended the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he served as an associate editor for the Ohio State Law Journal.
Mr. Jurek is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, where he is the Chair of the Public and Member Services Committee, as well as the Miami County Bar Association. He resides in Dayton, Ohio with his wife, Bruna.
