Glen R. McMurry
Glen joined Dungan & LeFevre in 2012, previously practicing as an associate attorney at Bieser, Greer & Landis in Dayton, Ohio for four years. Glen is admitted to the bars of the State of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Glen’s primary areas of practice include business and commercial litigation, tort defense, utility services, employment matters, and criminal defense.
Glen attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2004. He continued his education at the University of Dayton School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 2007. While there, Glen was a published staff writer for the University of Dayton Law Review and the Vice Chief Justice for Moot Court Board.
Glen is active in several local and national bar associations. He currently serves as member of the Board of Trustees of the Dayton Bar Association, also serving as a member of the Dayton Bar’s Fee Dispute Arbitration Committee. He is also the Immediate Past President of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Glen is an officer of the National Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Lawyer Division, serving as Secretary and Publications Editor. Glen also maintains membership in the American Bar Association and Ohio State Bar Association.
Glen’s scholarly writings have been published in several local and national publications, including the University of Dayton Law Review, the Dayton Bar Association’s Bar Briefs, the Federal Bar Association’s Divisions Digest, Federal Bar Association’s Federal Lawyer, and Wolters Kluwer’s Computer & Internet Lawyer. Glen has been selected for inclusion in the Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2012-2015. This list names outstanding young lawyers in the state of Ohio (those 40 years old or younger, or those who have been in practice for 10 years or less). No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state achieve this honor each year. Recently, Glen was also selected by the Dayton Business Journal as a 40 Under 40 Honoree for 2015. This award names the top 40 professionals under the age of 40 in the Dayton metropolitan area based upon the award recipients’ career achievements as well as their leadership and community activities.
Glen resides in Troy, Ohio with his wife, Angela, and their two children.
